About the ROP
We are an experiential agency providing creative photographic solutions to a wide variety of brands and private clients. At the heart of what we do is a profound appreciation for the enduring power of a great photograph. The ROP was founded by award winning advertising photographer Seamus Ryan, back in 2006 when he designed his first 'Boothnation' photobooth. These 'beauty lit' photo booths, and more recently pop up shoots and pods, have become a mainstay at brand activations, award nights and glamorous parties ever since.
Working with a host of global brands the ROP design photo shoots that really do engage people, ensuring social sharing, positive association, and lots of fun. Our happy team includes photographers, designers, producers and programmers and we work closely with set builders, stylists and model makers.
The Rop have also designed and manage permanent photo booths in Topshop stores throughout the UK and Ireland and Rough Trade stores in London and New York. We are very proud to have been official Photobooth partners to BAFTA since 2011.
For over ten years we have been opening our studio doors to the public on Sundays, inviting them to take part in one of our live photographic experiences. There are always new and innovative photo booths and experimental photo shoots to try out . ROP Sundays have become something of an East End institution and on selected Sundays hundreds of people happily take part. Images are posted to the website after the shoot where they can be purchased as fine art prints.
Our studio is situated right next to London's famous and ever popular Columbia Road Flower Market. We open from 11am-3pm. Do come and join us some Sunday.
About Seamus Ryan
ROP director Seamus Ryan's photography reflects his strong passion for people and the portrait genre. His advertising, editorial and theatre work, covers all aspects of modern portraiture. His strong people skills ensure a steady flow of celebrity portrait commissions as well as bold character work. He has worked on countless national and international advertising campaigns over a twenty year career, from marketing titans such as Nike through to The National Theatre and Comic Relief.
